After removing all the tiny screws that secure the metal framed LCD panel in place, as well as releasing the plastic clips along the bottom edge, it would still not lift up along the top edge. After applying a little heat from a hair dryer I was then able to gently lift the panel up along the edge before lifting it out with a pair of suction cups.

Note that this model can suffer from damage to the prism sheet. Mine had burnt spots with several cracks leading from them.
